I had a good sleep. 11 hours. I feel good. I know Montréal so well that it does not feel like I am on road at all. It feels like home, in the living room of my house, waiting for René to pick me up. It feels like going back in time. What I want is to see new landscapes, new faces. I want to hear new stories, I want to experience things that are not familiar.

In the evening I met up with Pierre, Luc and Flo, all ex-participants in the Canada World Youth Program. We went for a couple of beers in St-Rémi, on the South Shore just outside of the city. Luc's mother lives there. As we were walking towards the Brasserie, Pierre asked a guy, who was sitting on a railing of a parking lot, for the time. All of a sudden this guy jumps like an elastic in front of us, literally rips his shirt off and starts to execute a Kung Fu routine. He is breathing loudly, moving back and forth like a bee ready to attack or maybe like a cobra just about to bite somebody's head. We all look at him in a bit of shock. This is a small guy. He is about half the size of Pierre, but he can chop the air faster than Bruce Lee. We back off slowly, as if he is a bear, and we continue on our way. As we get farther from him, his martial arts cries get smaller. In the brasserie, we had a good laugh about that. We also talked about South America, travelling and freedom.

When we got out, Mister Danger was out of sight.
