Daniel Dugas is a poet, musician and videographer.   He graduated with an MFA, Time Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  He was an artist in residence at:  the Banff Centre, in both in the Visual Arts and in the Music  Department; Sculpture Space, New York; EMMEDIA, Calgary; A.I.R. Vallauris, France, and more recently at the Sydney College of the Arts, Sydney, Australia with collaborator Valerie LeBlanc.  

Daniel recently launched Talk Mainstream, a Twitter web interactive project exploring the mechanics of language and spam. His sixth book of poetry: Interjections, will be published this winter by Les Éditions Prise de Parole, Sudbury, Ontario.  He is working with Revue Ancrages to organize a 24 hour spoken word event scheduled for March 2010.  Daniel is currently living in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Poète, musicien et vidéographe, Daniel Dugas a participé à des expositions individuelles et de groupe au Canada et à l'étranger. Il a terminé ses études de maîtrise en Beaux-Arts au School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Il a été un artiste en résidence au Banff Centre, à Sculpture Space (New York), à EMMEDIA (Calgary) et plus récemment à A.I.R. Vallauris en France.

Daniel a lancé en 2005 un CD audio de musique interactive « Free Market Karaoke » qu'il a présenté au Canada et au festival Transitio MX - Festival International de Artes Electronicas Y Video, à Mexico City.

Son cinquième recueil de poésie « Même un détour serait correct» a été publié aux Éditions Prise de Parole (2006). La version DVD de ce recueil a été présenté au 19ième Instants Vidéo à Marseille, à la rencontre du film numérique de Mantes La Jolie et à la Vidéothèque éphémère de VIDEOFORMES 2006 à Clermont-Ferrand, en France.
