Tu crois la vie un incendie,
Et le progrès une éruption;
où tu places ta balle
tu places l'avenir.

VICTORY SIGN...rebel stands on captured tank
Vancouver Sun Sat. July 21, 1979
This is my last day in Vancouver. I have got to move, the road is calling me. Tomorrow I will leave for Long Beach on the Island. I have been told that it is a paradise on earth; that the Pacific Ocean and the surf is amazing. I have learned today that Marc has left for Acadie... We will not meet in the west after all, too bad. I found the Saturday edition of the Vancouver Sun and am elated, delighted, ecstatic to learn that the dictator Somoza is finally gone. My stay in Columbia made me aware of a lot of social issues and injustice caused by dictatorship. I hope that the Nicaraguans, oppressed for so long, will be able to re-construct their society and re-gain their dignity. Vive le Nicaragua! Vive la Liberté!
