Another morning trapped in the fog. We can all hear the ocean but no one has seen it for a while. The dampness is unbelievably taxing, my bones are getting soft... Everybody's teeth are chattering. I have decided to go to Victoria. I ran into Bryan yesterday and he said that he was leaving today. After my breakfast, I went to ask him if I could get a ride. It took me a while before I found his tent. They all looked the same and with the fog, it was rather disorienting. He was going to Qualicum Beach on the east side of the Island and gave me a lift. I felt relieved to get away from the paradise on earth. It was a bit too cold and wet for my taste.

7:30 pm, Victoria
I got a room at the Hostel. Robin Hood was on duty as the evening clerk and we talked a bit. He asked me if I had met up with Marc. I told him that I did not.

I realized that my money is going down fast. At this rate I will never reach California. I think that I should get myself another harmonica and try to play some music outside of the liquor store. Play, have fun and make money! I have the whole night to think about which key I would like to get. B is my all time favourite, but C is the most common and this would be nice if I meet other people to jam with. I lost mine after Chicago.
