I had a good day, hitchhiking with Jeff was great. When ever we were hungry, we could just open his packsack and grab a bunch of parsley. If weird on the saliva glands, the herb kind of grew on me. I liked the colour, the texture and the taste. I also enjoyed that it is all 'natural' food. I pictured us like two little Popeye's on the side of the road getting stronger by eating their greens. At some point we met Brenda from New York and we three hitchhiked together for a while. The parsley was one of her favourite foods as well. We ate voraciously under a burning sun. She knew the area very well so she guided us to all of the best spots. We arrived in the valley of Santa Ynez. The weather was perfect. The sky was perfect. The air was perfect. The wind was perfect. Every tree and every grain of sand - perfect. Every bird that flew above us was also perfect. Everything about this place was perfect. We collected hay and made mattresses out of it. We slept under the stars.
