Los Angeles!
The only thing that is better than sleeping under the stars is to wake up with the first rays of the sun. Brenda, Jeffrey and I got up at the same time. Jeffrey said, "Anybody want some parsley?" We all ate our breakfast and talked about the day's plan. We hitchhiked together until we reached Santa Barbara where Brenda was going to see her sister. Jeffrey and I were going further to Los Angeles. We got a lift in a Volkswagen van, the woman driver had already picked up 3 other hitchhikers. We were seated in the back area on side benches. We looked like a bunch of paratroopers about to jump behind enemy lines. One of the riders opened his pack of cigarettes and offered a round to all of us. We all lit up at the same time, puffing on these hand rolled smokes. They tasted very strong like old Lucky Strikes, then the taste switched to menthol and then back to regular tobacco and then a mixture of tastes. It was really bizarre. Somebody said, "Hey man, what's in these?" The guy who passed the smokes said that he had made them from cigarettes butts he collected, so there could be a mix of tobacco in them. I kept my cigarette in my hand letting it burn by itself. Jeffrey opened his packsack once more offering his parsley to anyone who was hungry.
When we arrived in Los Angeles Jeffery took me to the house of some friends. There were a few people there and they were all very nice. They all welcomed me like an old friend. Somebody came in with a tray of brownies. All that parsley made me quite hungry for anything else so I dove into the pan and ate as many brownies as I could. I noticed that people were talking to me in a concerned manner. I could not make any sense of what they were saying, I was too busy eating. The brownies tasted different but I thought it was because I had been eating parsley for two days. Then I passed out.
When I opened my eyes, I didn't know where I was. It looked like a boat, the shore or the coast, it was moving. Then after a while I realized that I was laying on the floor and what I thought was water was really the turquoise baseboard of a wall. I did not feel very good. I was in pain. My stomach was sore. I turned my head and I saw that I was in a small room. I looked at the ceiling first and then at the walls and then back at the baseboard and then the wooden floor. The window blind was rolled down and I did not know if it was day or night. There was a strong smell in the room, like flowers or something. I turned over and realized that the room was about 10 feet by 10 feet and in the middle of it there was a pyramid of marijuana about 3 feet high. I was almost laying on top of it.
I had a good laugh when I was told that all of those brownies I ate were made with the most potent Sinsemilla marijuana ever grown in California! They told me that I had gotten pretty wasted.
