Before leaving for Florida, which had now became my focus, I had to go to the Preservation Hall located in the French Quarter. The place was full packed with patrons and the non stop music was the best I had ever heard! I was at the back of the hall, 6 foot above the ground hanging on a metal grid that was attached on the wall. I was sharing that space with as many people as the grid could accommodate. The most difficult thing to do was to applaud the musicians. We had to hold the grid with one hand and clap on our forearm or lap.
